Overall Concert Look

Sunnies: RayBans / Overalls: Asos / Booties: Target / Watch: Fossil
I'm obsessed with this floral dress/overalls from Asos! Two big trends this spring are florals and the return of overalls. My braids are influenced by the braid queen, Amber Fillerup, from the blog, Barefoot Blonde. She does a ton of different braids that are so awesome and kinda easy to do... Key word...Kinda. I actually wore this overall dress to teach in the morning with a purple cardigan and black tights; I was able to switch it for the concert pretty easy!
P.S. If you're in my local area of Northwest Indiana, my sister and I are having a closet sale. Let me know if you want more details :) xoxo

Lace and Tulle

blouse: H&M / skirt: modcloth.com / shoes: urban outfitters

It feels like it's been a long time coming, but Spring is finally here! What better way to start of spring than with a tulle skirt! I love how flowy and not so puffy this skirt fits. It makes it totally wearable with out looking like you have on a tutu. (Although I probably wouldn't mind wearing a tutu)
Spring Break doesn't start for me for another few weeks, but I'm excited about my upcoming trip to the southern Caribbean. Chicago weather has been completely frigid this winter, so I'm definitely looking forward to soaking up some much needed sun! Thank you for reading! xoxo

Monochromatic Dots

Dress: Express / Jacket: Express / Shoes: Guess / Earrings: Charming Charlie

A huge trend this season definitely has to be black and white. I found this ensemble at Express and wasn't disappointed! There are so many ways you can style these polka-dot pieces. You can layer a cardigan on top of the dress with some tights and boots for the colder seasons, or you can wear as is with a bright necklace and a fun hat! Adding color is the best accessory when wearing the black and white trend. How will you wear this trend? Thank you for reading! xoxo

Wear your heart on your sleeve

Blouse: Express / Dress: Limited / Belt: Limited / Handbag: Betsey Johnson / kid with the car : Lucas (nephew)

When I hear the expression "wear your heart on your sleeve", my mind immediately flashes to the gold heart locket Blair Waldorf gives to Chuck to wear on his sleeve. Although it is a the sweet gesture, I don't think I could ever relate to the expression. I have always been quite guarded with my heart. I didn't date in high school, not because I couldn't, but because I didn't see a future with any of the guys in high school.  Are you one of those people who wears your heart on your sleeve?
It wasn't until I met Josh, my current boyfriend, that I let my guard down, and if you let me, I could go on and on about how good Josh has been to me and all the adventures and dreams we have together. But for your sake, I'll save it for another time :) For now, how ridiculously cute is my niece in her hounds tooth outfit. I don't know about you but I could stare at her for hours! Thank you for reading! xoxo
